GraphicsMagic Professional 1.4.6 Read Me File
This program is an image process software, users could use it for free. There is no need to install it on your computer, the software does not modifies the system registry. You could simply unpack the zip file of the program to any folder in your computer, and launch the program. Just it, hope you enjoy it.
GraphicsMagic includes the following capabilities:
- Shape Process - Drawing, moving, locking and editing any geometrical shapes.
- Image Process - Contrast, Brightness, Color Balance, Curve, Hue and Saturation adjustments. Replace Color and Threshold command. Flipping and Rotating image, Histogram function, etc.
- Effects - Provides over 20 filters, include Gaussian Blur and Mosaic, etc.
- Common Tools - Brushes, Jet Gun, Text, Measure, Gradient, Paint Bucket, Erasers, etc.
- Image Formats - Supports BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIF and converts format between each other.
- Selection Manipulation - Cutting, moving and scaling selections, selections combination, Color Range Selection, Magic Wand, Magnetic Lasso, supports Feathering Selection. Suppots cutting, copying and pasting selections between different forms. Distorting selection (by Distort menu command).
- Path Manipulation - Supports stroking and filling paths, path to selection. Provides path manager.
- Layer Manipulation - Supports creating various layers, including Transparent Layer, Text Layer, Shape Layer and Special Layer - Color Balance Layer, Curve Layer, etc. Arranging layer, showing/hiding layer, apply mask on layer, duplicating layer, locking transparency of a layer, etc.
- Mask Manipulation - Most features in this program could apply on the mask.
- Channel Manipulation - User could process individual channel, such as Red, Green, blue or Alpha channel. Supporting Quick Mask edit mode.
- Print - Print Preview, Print Options.
- Surface - Supports multiple forms manipulation.
Improvement
- Introduced a new selection tool -- Magnetic Lasso Tool.
- Added support to TIFF image files.
- Added support to semi-transparent gradients. Now it could access Photoshop's .grd files.
- Added support to semi-transparent patterns.
- Enhanced the Gradients Editor.
- Fixed bugs in Undo/Redo system and brush tools.
Skills
- Holding down the Shift key when drawing rectangle, rounded-corner rectangle and ellipse to get a regular shape.
- When you adjust curve in Standard Tool options panel, if the two radian handles of the curve are overlapped, just right click on the overlapped handle, and then choose the handle you want in the popup menu.
- Holding down the Alt key before using Clone Stamp, and then click mouse left button to define a base point, after that, you could use the Clone Stamp as the other brushes to paint.
- When using the Measure Tool, holding down the Alt key, and then moving the cursor on the each side of the first measure line, when the cursor appears to (
), click the mouse left button, and you'll get two measure lines for measuring angle which between the two measure lines.
- Skills of using Gradient Tool:
- Change the blend mode to Difference, Negation and Exclusion, and then combine the different gradient color, you'll get fantastic effects.
- Click on the gradient color bar in the Gradient Tool optons panel to open the Gradient Editor for editing gradients.
- In the Brush Stroke, Pattern and Swatch popup form, right click on any of these pattern or swatch, you could manipulate the selected object with the popup menu.
- Adjusting the Interval value in the Brush Tool options panel, you could adjust the distance between two brush strokes.
- Skills of using Pen Tools:
- Double click the Path panel to rename the path.
- Click on the blank area in the Path Panel Form to deselect all the path panels.
- Stroking and filling paths according to the settings on the Standard Tool options panel.
- When using the Pen Tools(
), holding down the Alt key and moving the cursor to the last endpoing of the path, after the cursor appears to (
), click the left mouse button to convert the Anchor Point to Angle Point for setting the direction of the new curve segment same as the last one. Holding down the Alt key and moving the cursor to any endpoint of the path, after the cursor appears to (
), click the left mouse button to conver the Angle Point to Anchor Point, if keep hold down the mouse button and drag the mouse, the Angle Point convert back to the Anchor Point. When moving the cursor on curve segment, after the cursor appears to (
), click the left mouse button to add a new anchor point. When moving the cursor on any endpoint of the path, after the cursor appears to (
), click the left mouse button to delete an anchor point. To close a path, just moving the cursor on the first endpoint of the path, after the cursor appears to (
), click the left mouse button.
- With the Path component selection tool(
), you could selecting and moving a whole path. Holding down the Shift key and select path, you could selecting and moving multiple paths in the selected path panel.
- With the Direct Selection Tool(
), you could adjust the endpoint and the direction lines of the selected curve segment. If you don't want to adjust the direction lines in pairs, you could holding down the Alt key and moving the direction line. After that, if you want to adjust the directions lines in pairs, holding down the Alt key again, and drag the mouse.
Notice
- When using the Print Options on old machines, the speed will be very slow. Be patient, please.
- You should install printer drivers on your machine, if you don't have a printer driver installed, the program may not run on your computer.
- Please don't delete the files and folders in the program's folder, it will causing the program won't working correctly, if you do so.
